How do I make IBN bookings from within the U.S.?

There are 3 easy ways to make a reservation abroad if you're currently inside the U.S.

Online:

IBN is an online reservation system operated by the International Youth Hostel Federation. IBN offers a simple, advanced and secure booking service for Youth Hostels worldwide. You can plan your travels with guaranteed accommodation in safe, clean and comfortable hostels. Click here to make your online reservation.

By Phone:

To reserve a room using our International Booking Network (IBN) call (202) 783-6161 between 8 am to 6 pm (EST) weekdays except national holidays. We accept VISA, MasterCard and Discover.

There will be a $5.00 (US) reservation fee per booking. A reservation confirmation will be sent to you via mail or fax. You must have this receipt when you arrive at the hostel to claim your reservation. If your reservation can't be confirmed, we will notify you via mail or fax.

In Person:

There are several places in the U.S. where you can make bookings in person, while you wait. Be sure to call ahead for hours of operation, and what form of payment is acceptable. You will get your confirmation immediately and will have your IBN Booking Receipt in hand.
