Information
“If it were not for Iron Master’s Mansion, my students would
have never have seen Gettysburg because there is no where
affordable to stay or eat. As
city kids, they would not know the joys of hiking the beautiful
Appalachian Trail. They
would not have experienced what slaves must have felt descending
into the hidden room to hide from bounty hunters.”
M H. Rogers, Congressional Out Reach Program, Abington School
District, PA
The
demands of a growing Global Community requires preparing American Youth
to play an active and positive role in it’s transformation. Last
year our Youth Hostel Program serviced over 3,800 children
between the ages of 5-18, from the Tri-State region and
beyond. These groups included schools, boys and girl
scouts, at risk youth programs, upward bound and college access
programs, churches and other community youth organizations. They
rely on us to provide a safe affordable space for positive cultural and
green educational experiences. Please
consider supporting the continuation of this wonderful Legacy in our
region.
