Operated by: The Delaware Valley Council of American Youth Hostels, Inc.

Located in beautiful Pine Grove Furnace State Park, Hostelling International - Ironmaster's Mansion was built in 1829 as the home of the Ironmaster of the Pine Grove Furnace Ironworks. The ironworks manufactured cannonballs during the Revolutionary War, and the hostel was a stop on the Underground Railroad for sheltering runaway slaves.  It is an official National Historical Preservation site.

The hostel is located on the Appalachian Trail. Pine Grove Furnace State Park is crisscrossed by bike trails for both mountain bikes and 10-speeds and has lakes and streams for fishing, boating and swimming. In the winter, great cross-country skiing starts right at the hostel's front porch. Alpine skiing is also nearby. Historic Gettysburg and its battlefield are 23 miles away.
Kings Gap Environmental Center is 7 miles from Youth Hostel.

Great place for groups of all ages & retreats!
