Tyler Hostel Customs

Membership Requirement
All guests must have a current Hostelling International Membership. Memberships may be purchased at check-in for either the 12-month, or Intro Pass categories. Youth under 18 receive free memberships. Non-Profit Groups of 10 or more are eligible for a FREE 12-month membership. Click here for membership form.

Check-in/Check-out
Saturday Check-out time is 12 Noon, Check-in time is 1 PM Sunday & Weekdays Check-in time is 6 PM through 11 PM, check-out time is 10 AM. Hostel is closed from 10 AM through 6 PM. Times can be flexible if arranged with the manager in advance. There may be a day fee charged.


Linens
Beds all have mattresses and blankets and a pillow. Each hosteller is required to provide a clean Sleep sheet, or two sheets and pillowcase. A sheet over the mattress is required even when using a sleeping bag. Sleepsheet rentals are available for $1 each. Hostellers must also provide their own bath towels.


Food
No food is sold at the hostel. There are 3 supermarkets in Newtown, and 2 more in Richboro. Cooking pots, pans and utensils are provided in the hostel kitchen.

Access & Parking
Automobile access is restricted to the Twining Ford Road entrance, described by the map.
When driving on park roads, please! turn on headlights, drive very slowly and yield to the pedestrians, horses, and wildlife, which may be spooked by a car. There is parking in front of the hostel.

Cleaning
Hostel members clean up after themselves, to help reduce overnight costs at hostels, and to contribute to the neat appearance of ‘their’ hostel, for the next guest. Mops, brooms, buckets and assorted cleansers are provided in the cleaning closet for members to prove the mettle.

NO-NO’s
No Smoking inside the Hostel. No pets.

No alcoholic beverages in the Hostel, or State Park. No picking flowers
