 Individuals and corporations can make a financial contribution to the Delaware Valley Council, including bequest, arrange planned giving or make a gift of real estate. Donations of equipment and furnishings are also appreciated.

    Direct Gifts to Delaware Valley Council: Donors can support local hostels and hostelling directly with gifts of cash or of property including real estate, stocks and other securities.

Gift Cards are Welcome!  We are always in need of  supplies and have ongoing up-keep and maintenance projects.  Gift cards are excellent way to help us save on daily operational expenditures and we also can use them to buy program and recreational equipment.  Consider this option the next time you are shopping.

Planned Giving is often considered with estate planning. Planned giving encompasses a wide variety of alternatives to enable the donor to defer all or part of his/her giving until after death. The most common types of planned giving are deferred gifts, trusts, and bequests, and various options are available for each.

Tax Credits: Capital gains can be offset and tax credits can be taken through: annuities, donation of property for Land Conservation easements that might be suitable for a hostel, and by partnering with us for historic property tax credits and façade easements on renovations to historically certified hostels.

Volunteer: Consider this wonderful opportunity to support a community base organization.   We are always looking for volunteers to assist with hostels, local Hostel Clubs, fundraising, office administration, and the Council Newsletter. Volunteer Form

Adopt A Hostel - The local hostels all need support from individuals in their area to help with work parties, dedicated fundraising, and marketing.  If you live in the bucks, Lancaster or Cumberland, or Montgomery County, please consider adopting the Hostel near you. Contact us if you would like to start a Hostel Club in any of these areas.

A Year In Review - Annual Reports & IRS Filings

Our Tax Status: The Delaware Valley Council of American Youth Hostels, Inc. is a 501 (C) 3 educational nonprofit organization, all Donations are Tax Deductible to the extent allowed by law. 

Direct monetary donations are 100% Tax Deductible However,  Donors and other interested parties should consult their legal and tax advisors regarding their specific situations and for more information or questions regarding donations contact our central office at 215-925-6005.
